Description
The Tyler WRP restoration project consists of excavating shallow channel swales on the Platte River Flood Plain. Excavated material shall be placed adjacent to the excavation in accordance with the plans and specifications. Swale sizes and configurations are composed of five types having an approximate total length of 62,000 feet or 11.75 miles. The site is also planned with two shallow water dugouts. The approximate total excavation affiliated with this project is 385,255 cubic yards. The site is located approximately 5 miles north of the Village of Hordville, Merrick County, Nebraska (Sections 27 and 34, T14N, R5W). A site showing will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2002. Participants will meet at the Hordville Community Center which is located in downtown Hordville, Nebraska, on the west side of the Boulevard, next to the Hordville Post Office. The Village of Hordville is located in north central Hamilton County along Nebraska State Highway 66. Performance time is 150 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed with work. Price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. USDA participates in the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program; therefore, competition for this project is unrestricted and is not set aside for small business concerns. However, small disadvantaged and HUBZone price evaluation adjustments are included. A bid bond is required. Successful bidder awarded a contract must provide performance and payment bonds.
