Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation as a written solicitation will not be issued. The reference number for this Request for Quotations (RFQ) is 03TC137. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. This is a 100% Small Disadvantaged Business Set Aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235520 with a small business size standard of $12,000,000. The 342nd Training Squadron, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, requires a firm-fixed price contract for industrial floor resurfacing and non-slip surface installation at buildings 950 and 3885. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supervision, and other items necessary for the following services: 0001 Apply approximately 8200 square feet of epoxy and urethane coating in the main corridors of buildings 950 and 3885 with squadron logos (approx. 8ft x 8ft, and 6ft x 6ft respectively) centered at T-intersections. 0002 Apply approximately 2407 square feet of heavy glass bead finish aisle way in the center corridors of buildings 950 and 3885. The contractor shall remove the existing flooring prior to the installation of the new epoxy. The installation shall be done in such a way that the flooring surface and the coating form a watertight seal over the entire floor surface. In accordance with FAR Clause, 52.237-1, Site Visit (Services), interested parties are urged to and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. The site visit is set for February 27, 2003 at 0900 CST. Drawings will be made available at the site visit. Quotes will be due no later than Mar 3, 2003 at 1600 CST. Work is anticipated to begin before or on March 17, 2003. Any quotes received from sources not attending the site visit will not be considered for award. The provision FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, is applicable to this solicitation and the blanks in section (a) are completed as follows: Price considerations. Contractors shall include with their quotes, a completed copy of 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items, 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercials Items, 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer--Central Contractor Registration, and DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration, are applicable to this acquisition.
