Description
This announcement constitutes a Source Sought Synopsis (SSS). 311 HSW/YASK, Brooks City Base is seeking sources that manufacture an air delivery container, type A-10 net MIL-C-7554E. Mesh formation using bowline knots only in securing cords where they cross or are joined. Predominate Material & Dimensions: The A-10 container shall be a square net approx. 9 feet (2.74m) on a side with 3-1/2 inch (89mm) diamond mesh (1-3/4 inches (45mm) per side). A-10 container shall be fabricated of nylon cord. The color of the cord shall be Olive Drab. The mesh shall be formed using bowline knots, tied so that there will be no slippage at the point of joining. The use of cord in less than 5-foot (1.52 m) lengths shall not be permitted. Thread breaks or bobbin run outs, or two or more consecutive skipped stitches shall be overstitched not less then 1 inch (25mm) each end. Run-offs shall be re-stitched to conform to the required stitch pattern. Ends of stitching shall be backstitched not less than 1-1/2 inches (38mm), except where ends are turned under in a hem or held down by other stitching. All thread ends shall be trimmed. A-10 net capacity is 300 pounds. Automatic machines may be used to generate any of the stitched patterns. Firms possessing the capabilities to accomplish this requirement are invited to submit a statement of qualification, enclose product information/catalogues, current GSA or other schedule information and price list/schedules.
