- The National Park Service intends to issue a prospectus authorizing the continued services for eight concession contracts to provide food and beverage services for outdoor events for the general public within Chamizal National Memorial. The existing concessioners have their base of operations (office, storage, etc.) outside of the park area. The season is from April into October. The existing concession permits between the National Park Service and the existing concessioners expired on December 31, 2002. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51, has determined that seven (7) of the eight (8) concessioners are preferred Offerors for these contracts. Eight (8) contracts will be issued for these food and beverage services. The length of the new contracts will be for five (5) years. Any offer, including that of the existing concessioners, must be received by the Chief, Business Resources Division, National Park Service, Intermountain Region, P. O. Box 25287, Denver, Colorado 80225-0287 (Federal Express address: 12795 W. Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, CO 80228) no later than thirty (30) days after the date of publication of this notice in order to be evaluated and considered for an award of a concession contract to provide food and beverage services in Chamizal National Memorial. The Prospectus will be issued February 26, 2003, for a 30-day response period under the terms described in the Prospectus, with proposals due on March 27, 2003, no later than 4:00 p.m. There is a printing cost recovery charge of $35 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $30 per copy if picked up in person. Checks or money orders (no cash accepted) must be payable to the National Park Service and you must include a physical address (no post office box) to receive a Federal Express package.
