Description
NUWCDIVNPT has a procurement set aside for small business for 1 ea. Hydraulic Power Plant with an Option for 1 ea. ASLF Remote Control/Monitor Panel. The subject hydraulic power plant will be a dual-use power plant. The primary application is to provide hydraulic fluid, pressure, and flow for the test, evaluation and certification of the hydraulic control valves used on the Mk 12 Controllable Air Firing Valve (CAFV). In its primary role, the power plant will produce 30 gpm at 3000 psig and 6 gpm at 5000 psig. The 30 gpm, 3000 psig output will have a remotely electronically controlled, variable output from 50 psig to 3000 psig. The 5000 psig output will have a remotely electronically controlled, variable output from 2000 psig to 5000 psig. The unit in its primary capacity shall be used with a hydraulic test stand. The secondary use of the power plant will be to provide hydraulic power to the Advanced Submarine Launcher Facility (ASLF). In its secondary role, the unit will be used to deliver 15 gpm at 3000 to operate all torpedo tube control and actuator functions, facility flood, drain, pressurize and blowdown functions, and to operate weapon ejection system firing and control apparatus. The unit must be capable of providing 3000 psig service at 30 gpm to the hydraulic test stand and 15 gpm to the ASLF simultaneously or 5000 psig service to the hydraulic test stand and 3000 psig/15 gpm service to the ASLF simultaneously. The Option is for a remote control panel. Further details will be provided in the solicitation. This procurement will be solicited using SAP and commercial item procedures as set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13. The solicitation is expected to be available by 24 February 2003. NAICS: 332912.
