Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA is requesting proposals for three each, Shaker Incubators. This procurement is for the National Ocean Service, Hollings Marine Laboratory located at Charleston, SC. The following is a list of minimum specifications for this requirement (1) estimated dimensions 45 inches wide x 28 inches deep x 37 inches high (2) the basic unit is a temperature controlled orbital shaker incubator with a 30 inch x 18 inch internal shaking platform with a minimum of 15 and 1/2 inches of internal clearance above the platform to accommodate a minimum of 6 standard 4 liter Erlenmeyer flasks. (3) the system must be microprocessor controlled, have shaker speed from 25 to 500 rpm adjustable at 1 rpm increments, and a minimum of 1 inch shaker orbit (4) the system must be able to maintain a constant temperature for ambient to 60 degrees Celsius with a temperature accuracy of ? 0.1 degree Celsius between 30 degrees Celsius and 40 degrees Celsius and ? 0.25 degrees Celsius for the remaining range. (5) the system must run on standard ac current of 120 v/60 hz at no more than 15 amp (6) foot pedal actuated lid lift that releases and raise the lid. Accessories (platforms, clamps, racks) must include the following: 1 each dedicated platform (approximately 30 inches wide x 18 inches deep) to accommodate 60 each 125 ml Erlenmeyer flasks. 2 each. 2 each universal platforms (approximately 30 inches wide x 18 inches deep) to accommodate the following: clamps or racks to accommodate 6 each 2.8 liter Fernbach flasks, 6 each 4 liter Erlenmeyer flasks, 8 each 2 liter Erlenmeyer flasks, 18 each 500 ml Erlenmeyer flasks, 30 each 250 ml Erlenmeyer flasks, 78 each 125 ml Erlenmeyer flasks, 91 each 50 ml Erlenmeyer flasks, test tube racks to hold 15-18 mm test tubes (7 racks able to hold 42 tubes each), test tube racks to hold 22-26 mm tubes (7 racks able to hold 22 tubes each). Contract award will be based on the lowest price offer meeting the minimum specifications, using the commercial item acquisition process. The solicitation will be available on or about March 15, 2003.
