Description: NA TACOM intends to negotiate & award on a sole-source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), to Southwest Research Institute, for the continued development individual RIFTS components; including development, build of full size prototype components, & integrati on of these components into a working baseline RIFTS system. Types of effort required include: software engineering & development; hardware and software prototyping; system design engineering; logistics support analysis; system integration & testing; & re finement of the purchase description. The estimated value of this requirement is $4.5 Million. When released, the complete RFP will contain all terms and conditions along with specific requirements of the RFP. It will be posted to the TACOM-Warren Busine ss Opportunities web page at www.tacom.army.mil/opportunity.htm under 'Research and Development and also on http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ Select 'Find Business Opportunities' and search for solicitation number.
