Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number DTCG80-03-Q-3FA970 applies and is issued as a Request for Quote. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-12. This is a unrestricted solicitation for overhaul repair of 2 Caterpillar 3406B Marine Diesel Generators onboard the USCGC RELIANCE (WMEC 615). The NAICS Code is 336611 with a size standard of 1000 employees. This requirement is for a fixed priced contract. The statement of work reads: CLIN 0001: Contractor to provide all equipment, labor, materials, parts, services, including travel and shipping as necessary to perform 12,000 hour overhaul of 2 Caterpillar 3406B marine Diesel Generators. All work to be accomplished in accordance with the manufacturer?s specifications. Only quotes received from authorized Caterpillar repair facilities will be considered. Location: USCGC RELIANCE (WMEC 615), Pierside, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH 03804-5000. Quotes to be submitted FOB Destination, Inspection and Acceptance is at destination. Period of performance: 14 April 2003 thru 28 April 2003 (15 calendar days). Evaluation and Award: The government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose quote conforming to the solicitation provides the lowest overall price.
