Description

NA This posting constitutes the U.S. Military Academy notice of intent to negotiate on a sole source basis with Continuum, 3150 Central Expressway, Santa Clara, CA 95051 for a Leopard SS-20, high energy, picosecond Nd YAG laser with second harmonic generator and output with residual fundamental. Bean profile to be 85% fit to gaussian in X axis and Y axis. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation or a solicitation of offers. In addition to providing notice of sole source intent, the purpose of th is synopsis is to assist in determining if there are any other companies and product other than Continuum capable of meeting this requirement. Interested parties are requested to identify their interest and submit the capabilities and qualifications of th eir instrument in meeting the specifications and salient characteristics in writing to the designated representative. Responses may be supported by product literature. The applicable NAICS code is 333314. The small business size standard is 500 employee s. See Numbered Note 22. Insert 5 days in lieu of 45 days in note 22. Response to this notice must be received within five (5) calendar days of the date of this notice via email to Linda.Napolitano@usma.edu. A determination by the Government not to com pete this requirement, upon receipt of response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The requirements include a solid state saturable absorber with the required energy per pulse for long term stability, avoiding solvent evapo ration probems, and avoiding solvents which are known carcinogens and flammable. The wavelength 532nm with built in user ability to upgrade to third and fourth harmonic output. Required pulse length is 60 picoseconds.
