Description

NA The U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), AZ intends to negotiate and award a contract to Mallory Engineering, Inc., 2779 W. Directors Row, Salt Lake City, UT 84104 on an other than full and open competition basis. The contract is required to modify and upgrade various climatic chambers existing at the USAYPG. The weapons firing chamber requires modification to upgrade the heating, monitoring and control systems. Mallory originally designed and built these systems for this chamber. The design of these systems is proprietary to Mallory Engineering. Chambers C108 and C111 require modification to convert the refrigeration systems from R-23 to R508B and chambers C101, C103, C109, C102, C104 and C106 require modification to replace the pneumatic operated hu midity control valve actuators with electric actuators. Mallory is the original manufacturer of these chambers. The designs of these chambers and internal systems are proprietary to Mallory. Chambers SPT-24, SPT-25 and SPT-26 require modification to rep lace the control systems with a configuration that is standard to the other chambers existing at YPG. Mallory is the original equipment manufacturer of these other chambers. Modification of chambers SPT-24, SPT-25 and SPT-26 will be added to the contract as optional line items. Interested parties may submit technical literature showing their capability of meeting the Government?s requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to comp ete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
