Description

The requirement of this solicitation is for fully Contractor operated and maintained helicopter flight services consisting of one light turbine helicopter (BH 206LIII / LIV, BH407 or AS-350B2 or equal) in support of Bureau of Indian Affairs resource and wildland fire management programs. The helicopter's designated base will be Window Rock, Arizona. The contract includes a mandatory 100-day exclusive use period beginning approximately May 1, 2003 through August 8, 2003. The term of the contract is one year with options to renew for two additional years. The Contractor will be required to hold a current Federal Aviation Administration air carrier and operating specification for the category and class of aircraft required and furnished under the contract. As well, the Contractor will be required to be certificated under 14 CFR, Part 133, Rotorcraft External-Load Operations and Part 137, Agricultural Aircraft Operations. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is February 28, 2003 and approximate closing date is March 21, 2003. The solicitation will be available at this site and www.oas.gov/dam.
