- Description
- NAICS Code: 561499 The United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) is requesting fixed price quotes for the storage, handling and distribution of Consumer Labeling Initiative (CLI) promotional items (magnets, rulers, clips etc.) to pesticide safety educators, health professionals, consumers, and others nationwide. The estimated value of this procurement is less than $15,000.00. Quotes are requested by 07 March 2003. The CLI is educating consumers on the importance of reading consumer product labels, via an aggressive "Read the Label First!"campaign, conducted jointly with our industry and other partners, stakeholders, and the National Safety Council, with whom EPA has entered into a cooperative agreement for outreach and education. The purpose of the campaign is to encourage consumers to focus on the label as a vital source of information for the selection, safe use, and appropriate storage and disposal of household consumer products, and to improve consumer understanding of the information presented on product labels. As part of its Read the Label First educational campaign, the consumer labeling initiative team has produced and made available for distribution by stakeholders promotional items such as eight inch long bag clips, round rubber jar openers, business card sized magnets, twelve inch rulers, small round logo stickers, etc. There are approximately forty orders of varying sizes to be processed. These orders should be filled within three weeks from the date on which the contract is awarded. There are approximately 204,500 items or approximately six thousand pounds of items to be stored. The contractor shall make arrangements to have these items transported to its own storage facility. The contractor will be tasked to mail items to people who submit requests for these items. For a complete copy of the request for quote including the statement of work and list of mailings please contact the Contract Specialist, Rodney Neely, for this procurement at neely.rodney@epa.gov or by phone 202-564-4507.
