Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice to determine the availability of potential sources to provide certified Wellness/Fitness Associates and certified exercise leaders on an as needed basis to perform as substitute staff and exercise leaders when regular staff members of the Federal Occupational Health Wellness/Fitness facilities are unable to perform. This is not and Invitation for Bid (IFB), Request for Proposal (RFP) or a Request for Application (RFA) and in no way obligates the Government to award a contract or cooperative agreement. Qualified substitutes may be needed on an hourly, daily or weekly basis in the following locations: District of Columbia including VA and MD , Chicago, IL , Kansas City, KS , Kansas City, MO, St. Louis, MO , Dallas/Fort worth, TX , Edison, NJ, Seattle, WA , Atlanta, GA , San Francisco, CA , Los Angeles, CA , Ann Arbor, MI , Boston, MA , and Cincinnati, OH. Multiple Blanket Purchase Agreements may be issued to meet the need for substitutes. The minimum requirements to perform as a substitute Wellness/Fitness Associate or exercise leader are: 1. Current Wellness/Fitness certification from a nationally recognized fitness organization(i.e. ACSM-American College of Sports Medicine, ACE-American Council on Exercise, AFAA-Aerobic and Fitness Association of America, NSCA-National Strength and Conditioning Association) 2. Current CPR-Cardiopulminary Resuscitation Certification and AED-Automated External Defibrillator training, 3. Ability to teach a variety of group exercise classes such as aerobics, muscle conditioning and stretching. In addition substitutes may be required to provide equipment orientations, fitness assessments and exercise programs according to national standards ACSM guidelines.
