Description

NA Description: The U.S. Army, Fort Carson, Colorado intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company, Mesa, AZ for overhaul of a Main Rotor Head on an AH64 helicopter. This is sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquis ition Procedures. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within five days from the date of the publication of this synopsis . Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements. Facilities that propose to perform repair or manufacturing work for the US Govt Aviation Activities must have prior certification. A copy of the certification must be provided with supporting evidence. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discreti on for the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company. Responses are due NLT 5 March 2003, 2:00 p.m. (MST). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to the following address: Margaret.wright@carson.army.mil. Faxed responses will be accepted at (719) 526-5333. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted.
