- Description
- The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), International Broadcasting Bureau's (IBB) WORLDNET and Voice of America (VOA) TV Division requires teleport/earth station satellite transmission and reception services, satellite space and interconnect circuit links (fiber optic or microwave) to and from BBG TV studios located in the Cohen Building (Cohen), at 330 Independence Avenue, SW, Washington, DC. The Contractor shall provide satellite space and services for transmission and reception of all C-band and Ku-band satellites to and from any and all satellites in the domestic arc of the Clarke Belt visible from Washington, DC, at full broadcast-quality in analog and digital, NTSC and all PAL standards, in full and half transponder bandwidth and full and half power distribution. Contractor shall provide satellite transmission and reception services to/from all international satellites available under F.C.C. regulations permitting access to INTELSAT and other international systems, both analog and digital, also in full and half transponder bandwidth and full and half power distribution providing conversion from 625 to 525, if required. Provide full-time dedicated terrestrial paths, two (2) transmit and two (2) receive, each with video and two (2) audio (microwave or fiber optic) to connect between Cohen and the teleport. If Fiber is used, the Contractor shall be responsible for installing and maintaining links. If Microwave is used, the Contractor shall furnish and maintain a licensed operating microwave link. This solicitation is for a base year with four (4) one-year options to renew. Interested offerors may request a copy of the RFP by submitting a written request to the above BBG/IBB Contracting Officer. All written requests for a copy of the RFP shall include the above-stated solicitation number, company name, mailing address, point of contact, telephone number, email address and facsimile number. All responsible sources may submit a proposal in response to the forthcoming RFP and all proposals shall be considered by the BBG. This notice is not a RFP, IFB or RFQ.
