- Description
- The NIH/NIAID seeks sources with appropriate qualifications and experience that are interested in receiving a solicitation in connection with the anticipated competition for a services contract with a base year and 4 twelve month option periods to (1) Provide an animal facility, to house and maintain up to 24 adult chimpanzees in appropriate physical containment. The chimpanzees, owned by the Government and presently in the facility of a contractor, will be used for the conduct of infectious disease work including studies of HIV and related viruses, hepatitis and agents of bio defense importance. (2) Provide an animal facility (can be combined with #1 above) to house and maintain up to 10 additional uninfected chimpanzees. (3) Provide on a temporary basis facilities to house and maintain up to 14 additional chimpanzees to be used for vaccine development.
