Description
Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific proposes to contract the dockside repairs of USCGC HENRY BLAKE (WLM 563) 175?bouy tender, homeported in Everett, Washington. All work shall be performed at the cutter?s homeport, during the period of 11 August 2003 and complete 10 September 2003. . Request for Quote (RFQ), DTCG85-03-Q-625477, will be issued on or about the 30 March 2003. Offerors are advised that the solicitation, specification and other notifications can also be accessed on the web at: www.eps.gov. Work items to include: production control, Gantt bar chart, eyewash station installation, hawser pipe cover installation, XPO stateroom desk relocation, engineering control center void structural modification, tanks (MP fuel service) clean and inspect, tanks (forepeak) clean and inspect, tanks (potable water) clean and inspect, tanks (lube oil stowage and service) clean and inspect, tanks (ballast) clean and inspect, tanks (dirty and waste oil) clean and inspect, voids (accessible) clean and inspect, high pressure washer piping modifications, safety shutdown or galley fire extinguishing system, temporary services. The solicitation is issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsive sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
