- NA The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Patuxent Wildlife Research Center (PWRC) in Laurel, Maryland intends to make award, on a sole source basis, to Microwave Telemetry, Columbia, Maryland to purchase and deliver by April 4, 2003, 15 implant able satellite transmitters. There is no written solicitation for this requirement. It is coded "No Solicitation Number 03ER10." The specifications are as follows: (1) Implant able (intra-abdominal) satellite transmitter PTT100, (2) percutaneous antennae, (3) transmitter weight of 35 grams, (5) duty cycle for the transmitters will be 8 hours of transmission and 48 hours of non-transmission for 100 cycles, 6 allow total transmission for approximately 7 months. This award will be made on or about March 7, 2003, under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $100,000.00. The NAICS code for the acquisition is 421210. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. . Interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to respond within ten days of this announcement. All responses must be in writing by facsimile to the Contracting Officer at (703) 648-7367 or e-mail mfritts@usgs.gov. A determination not to continue with this acquisition based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. See Note 26.
