Description
This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Notice. The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking to replace the NT200CG, Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) unit with a Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) DGPS unit. The unit shall have the capability of displaying GPS and DGPS data on one display. Position accuracy shall be approximately 1 meters DGPS and 3 meters GPS. There shall be a minimum of two RS-232 serial output ports. At a minimum the unit shall output the following NMEA sentences: 1. $GPGST - GNSS Pseudorange Error Statistics; 2. $GPGGA - Global Positioning System Fix Data; 3. $GPGRS - GNSS Range Residuals; 4. $GPGSA - GNSS DOP and Active Satellites; 5. $GPVTG - Course over Ground/Ground Speed (VTG). At a minimum the unit shall accept the following NMEA sentences: 1. $GPVHW - Water Speed and Heading (VHW). Temperature: (a) For the Displays: Negative 30 degrees centigrade to positive 70 degrees centigrade non-operating (storage), negative15 degrees to positive 55 degrees centigrade operating. (b) For the Antennas: Negative 25 degrees centigrade to positive 70 degrees centigrade operating. Waterproof: Display units shall meet International Electro Technical Commission (IEC) 60529 Ingress Protection (IP) 55. Antenna unit shall meet IEC 60529 IP56 minimum. All responsible sources may respond to this sources sought notice and shall be considered by the U.S. Coast Guard. Information provided by responsible sources shall not constitute a proposal and no award will be made from this notice. The Government does not intend to pay for the information received. Any interested sources shall submit a technical capability statement that demonstrates a minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing and installing the required DGPS, a catalog price list, and product literature that includes a technical schematic.
