Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division intends to initiate a procurement for Rugged Panel Mount Keyboards on a sole source basis with Cortron, Incorporated, 1 Aegan Drive, Methuen, MA 01844 for the part number listed below, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Cortron, Incorporated is the sole domestic distributor and the sole qualified supplier of this equipment at the present time. The Rugged Panel Mount Keyboards must support the AN/TPX-42 (V) 14 Field Change 2 (FC2) project. Requirements for the Rugged Panel Mount Keyboards requirements include: 1) provide a Sun Type 5 software interface required to drive the Primagraphics Intergrated Display Card Set; 2) provide a 2? track ball pointing device, equipped with four programmable buttons; 3) fits the existing dimensional characteristics (11.440? W by 17.860? L by 1.564? D) used in the AN/TPX-42A (V) 14 FC2 installation; 4) sealed, spill proof/dust proof contruction; and; 5) keyboard LED backlighting. The Cortron, Incorporated Part Number 536-0032 Rugged Panel Mount Keyboard is the only commercial-off-the-shelf items that can meet these identified Government minimum requirements. This action will be processed as a commercial acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12, and simplified acquisition procedures authorized by FAR Subpart 13.5 will apply. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334119 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. The proposed contract for this equipment shall be for a period of one (1) Base Year Period, and four (4) Option Year Periods.
