- Description
- This propose procurement is for 145 each Left Hand, P/N: 799-7701 and 145 Right Hand, P/N: 799-7702 Multi-function Control Units (MFCUs). The Request for Proposal (RFP) number is USZA95-03-R-0006. The MFCUs will provide an integrated set of controls mounted in a grip to provide remote Multi-function Display (MFD) Cursor and Sensor (Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR), digital map, and multi-mode radar control. The MFCUs will be installed on the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) (SOAR(A)) aircrafts: MH-47s, MH-60s and H-6s. Inspection and Acceptance: Origin. FOB: Destination. Deliveries to: W80N5C, MSSA/CRP HHC 160th SOAR(ABN), Attn: Tory Eide/CW5 Sweeney (SIMO), 7244 Nightstalker Way, Ft. Campbell, KY 42223-6012. The MFCUs will use a RS-422 interface to the required switches, encoders and transducers. A minimum of 15 ship-sets will be purchased each year throughout FY 2003-2007, with estimated quantities shown in the following table: FY: 2003, QTY: 35 Each; FY: 2004, QTY: 70 Each; FY: 2005, QTY: 75 Each; FY: 2006, QTY: 75 Each; FY: 2007, QTY: 35 Each. The intended source is (CAGE: 81579) Mason Electric Co., 605 8th Street, P.O. Box 311, San Fernando, CA 91341-0311. Authority and Justification is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c ) (1), FAR 6.302-1. This proposed contractual action is for supplies which cannot be procured through full and open competition because the authority cited states only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Mason Electronic Co. is believed to be the only supplier of the desired product. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves to the contracting officer/specialist, and provide supporting evidence which will permit their participation in the current or future requirements. The I.M.P.A.C.T. Visa Credit Card will be utilized as a form of payment. When calling be prepared to state name, address and solicitation number. A IDIQ, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contract is contemplated. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at time of award.
