Description

THIS REQUIREMENT IS SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES ONLY. The NAICS code is 541710 with a size standard of 500 employees. The National Institute of Standards and Technology has a requirement for development of Ultra-Wideband Radar/Radio Techniques for moisture detection in building walls, to include development of research-grade software for determining the Ultra Wideband Energy reflected from a sample of building material, a written report detailing the algorithms and protocols for making moisture measurements on multi-layered walls with features such as studs, wires, nails, screws, outlets, and plumbing components; and, a library of electronic SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) images from tests on a wetted wall and a written report outlining the technique used to create these images. The requirement shall be completed, including submission of all deliverables, within five months from date of award. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about March 11, 2002 at www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation, all amendments and any questions and answers to the solicitation will be posted to FEDBIZOPPS and are totally the responsibility of the Offeror. No mailing lists will be kept and no hard copy of the RFQ will be available. All small businesses may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Numbered note 1.
