Description

The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA)-Office of Indian Education = Programs, Center for School Improvement (OIEP-CSI) is requesting = proposals to provide four leadership academies to twenty-five (25) focus = school principals. Focus schools are Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) = operated schools identified to receive structured, intensive technical = assistance and support due to low achievement levels in order to bring = about improved student achievement. The focus of the principals' = leadership academy will include the following: Curriculum Planning and = Development; School Principal Recruitment; Screening & Selection = Process; Institute Logistical Planning; Conduct four three-day = institutes; Evaluation & Reporting and provide three graduate credits in = school administration. The program curriculum concerns the following: = Leadership Development; Experiential Learning Methodology; Teambuilding; = Instructional Leadership; Technology Research & Communication; No Child = Left Behind; I.D.E.A. The evaluation plan for this requirement consists = of two major components: 1. summative evaluation or product (outcomes) = evaluation and 2. formative evaluation or evaluating the process. The = offeror shall have experience, knowledge and educational background in = implementing these academy requirements The North American Industry = Classification System Code (NAIC) is 611430, size standard $6M. This = requirement is unrestrictive. The solicitation will be issued on March = 20, 2003 to those sources requesting it, with offers due to this office = on April 20, 2003, 3:00 pm local time.
