- Description
- The Contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to maintain and repair the Forest Service administrative building elevators in Southeast Alaska in a manner that will ensure continuous and safe operation. Following is a list of the elevator locations: Juneau, Sitka, Wrangell, Craig, and Thorne Bay. The contractor shall perform, on each scheduled service visit, required inspections and repairs of elevators contained in this contract. The contractor shall implement a preventive maintenance inspection program (PMI) to help prevent and correct deficiencies with equipment items, minimizing breakdowns and service interruptions, extending elevator service life, maximizing operating efficiency and providing a warranty covering parts and labor for all remedial repairs required between preventative maintenance visits. Routine inspection and tests shall include those items listed in ANSI/ASME Standard 17? Safety Code for Elevators, Dumbwaiters, Escalators, and Moving Walks for passenger and freight hydraulic elevators. The solicitation will be posted to the FedBizOpps website on or about March 21, 2003 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation via the Internet if possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation KTN-03-15. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 21 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted synopses, you will be automatically notified via e-mail of any changes to the project. To register select Register to Receive Notification and follow the steps. Follow the same procedure for EACH project. PLAN HOLDERS LIST: The Interested Vendors List (IVL) has replaced the Plan Holders List that was previously available with solicitation packages. Access the IVL for all projects through the FedBizOpps website. To register as an interested vendor, select Register as Interested Vendor and follow the steps. Follow this procedure for EACH project of interest. Use the Register as Interested Vendor option to add your company name to the IVL and then view or print the IVL by selecting View List of Interested Vendors for each project.
