Description

NA The U.S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans, has a requirement to perform maintenance on an excavator, Caterpillar Model Number EL240, Serial Number 9PK00881. The Contractor is to furnish all parts and labor to reseal all cylinders, rebearing and reseal all bucket linkage. Replace all bottom rollers, reseal both side track adjusters and replace swing gear assembly. Paint excavator with decals. The excavator will be picked up/returned to the Port Allen Lock, Port Allen, LA. Solicitation No. DACW29-03-T -0036 and Amendment No.U0001 are being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This is being procured as a firm fixed price contract under FAR 12, commercial item. The applicable Standard Industrial Code is 7699 and the business size is $6.0 million. The N AICS Code is 811310. This solicitation is unrestricted. All interested parties may request a complete solicitation package by fax, 504-862-2892 or email Robert.M.Daniels@mvn02.usace.army.mil. Requests for this solicitation shall be in writing, stating t he solicitation number, complete company name, point of contact, address, area code and telephone number and facsimile number. No telephone requests will be accepted. Quotes are due on March 20, 2003 at 4:00 P.M. NOTE: Contractor must be registered wit h Central Contractor Registration to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DOD activity. Information on registration may be obtained by calling 1-800-334-3414 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Registration requires applicants to hav e a DUNS number from Dun & Bradstreet. Registering may take up to three weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
