Description

NA QUESTIONS ON DISTRIBUTION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATION SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO THE PLANS ROOM (SONYA WHITE) AT PHONE (251) 690-2535 OR FAX (251) 694-4343. Specific questions related to this project may be answered by Mr. Al Denmark at fax number (251) 690-290 2. Contracting Officer for this project will be Leo J. Hickman. This project provides for the design, procurement, installation, and test out of natural gas fueled electrical generators, installation of weatherproof generator enclosure(s), electrical con nection to an existing substation, and site related work. The minimum required generation capacity is 4.5 MW. The contractor shall supply 4 generators to provide this capacity. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this proj ect is 238210. Bid documents are available on or about 28 March 2003. Estimated cost of work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. Note No. 1: Any prospective bidder s interested in bidding on this solicitation must register for plans and specifications in order to download a copy of the solicitation and be placed on the plan holder's list. If you are not registered, the United States Government is not responsible for providing you with notifications of any changes to this solicitation. Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet in order to be able to download the electronic files. The solicitation will be available only as direct download. This solicitation will not be issued on CD-ROM. IN ORDER TO DOWNLOAD A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION, GO TO VIEW/DOWNLOAD SOLICITATION FILES as indicated on the Internet at http://www.sam.usace.amry.mil then click on contract bids. Neither telephonic, mailed, nor fax requests will be accepted. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the mailing list. Registration must include the firm's physical address, telephone, a valid fax numbe r and a point of contact to facilitate faxed amendments. Registration should be completed one week prior to the issue date. All notification of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only. It is therefore the contractor's respon sibility to check the Internet address listed above daily for the solicitation to be posted, and for any posted changes to this solicitation. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued either by fax or by posting for download to the aforementioned web page, or CD-ROM. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed-paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest.
