- Description
- The Securities and Exchange Commission intends to award a sole source contract to Dow Jones News Service. Dow Jones shall provide Access to (1) an accurate and reliable source of news on U.S. and Canadian equity markets, including market outlooks and in-depth analyses; (2) coverage of hot stocks, and news stories that highlight unusual price or volume activity in specific stocks; (3) forecasts, instant reports and quick analysis of all U.S. economic indicators and related data; (4) economic developments that affect the markets, including Federal Reserve actions; (5) an accurate and reliable source of coverage of major equity markets around the world, with frequent updates and analysis of worldwide bond, foreign exchange and precious metals markets; (6)an accurate and reliable source of coverage of key financial centers world wide such as Tokyo, Frankfurt, London, and Mexico City, including reports on key political developments and other events affecting the markets. The following features must be included: (1) List of Hot Stocks to Watch; (2) Calendar of Events (economic data and indicators scheduled for release); (3) Small cap company coverage; (4) CEO interviews; (5) Analysts rating changes; (6) Mutual fund news, analysis and top performers; (7) Full-text of the Wall Street Journal; (8)Full-text of Barrons; (9) Full-text of SmartMoney; (10) Tables and statistics including stock splits and IPOs. The services must be provided through direct delivery methods, including the following quote and market data vendors: (1) Bloomberg, LP; (2) Reuters; (3) Moneyline Telerate. The aforementioned information services shall be provided for one year at an estimated price of $30,000. Dow Jones New Service is the only known source that possesses the capability required by the SEC. No solicitation will be issued for this sole source requirement. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to provide this service, which shall be considered by the agency.
