- Description
- Proposals are solicited for RFP FN3021/FMP, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Fueling Facility at Four Mile Run Division. This is a Design-Build-Operate-Maintain (DBOM) project that requires the Design-Builder to design, obtain all required permits, construct, manufacture, procure equipment/material, install, test, maintain in a possible stand-by mode until the fuel delivery is provided, and operate and maintain the fueling facility to support the CNG bus fleet to be located at the Four Mile Run Division in Arlington, Virginia. The requirement to operate and maintain the existing CNG fueling facility at Bladensburg Division in Washington D. C. is also included as a five-year renewable option. The work includes, but is not limited to, installation of: natural gas dryers, compressors, dispensing systems, buffer control system, bus defueling system, fuel management system, control panels, emergency stop system, electrical equipment, gas and flame detection system, air supply control devices, and gas storage vessels. The Design-Builder, through itself or others, shall provide professional engineering and architectural services and technical, subprofessional, administrative, and other services necessary for the complete design and preparation of the Final Design and Final Design Drawings and Specifications, as well as the schedules and cost estimates the Contract requires. The Design-Builder shall also furnish all labor, equipment, materials, project management, quality control/assurance, and architecture and engineering services required for the construction of the project in accordance with Contract requirements. The period of performance is 270 calendar days after NTP for the design and construction and an additional 365 calendar days after final acceptance to operate and maintain.
