- UPDATED REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL SYNOPSIS Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation or solicitation amendments. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway (Gateway) at http://progate.daps.mil/home after (Estimated Date). From the Gateway homepage, select "Search RFPs" from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFP you wish to view. You must be registered in order to download RFPs. If you are not, you will be directed to register at time of download. In order to ensure e-mail notification of RFPs, prospective vendors MUST go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP Clothing & Textiles as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. The solicitations will be in a downloadable, printable format when viewed with an Adobe Acrobat Reader. Free software is available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as "The Berry Amendment") impose restrictions on the DoD's acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and "specialty metals" (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies. THIS IS A SOLICITATION FOR 3 NSN'S: ITEM #1 (20,300 pair)- Insignia, Grade, E.P. Petty Officer, 3rd class, Coast Guard/8455-01-038-2019; ITEM #2 (113,000 qty) - Insignia, Grade, Zinc, E.P., Private Fist class, Type I, Class 11/8455-00-469-2395; ITEM #3 (160,000 qty) - Insignia, Grade, E.P. Staff Sgt., (e-6) Army/8455-00-107-0089. There will be a 100% quantity option on item #3 only. DELIVERIES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS: ITEM #1 - one delivery to New Cumberland depot. ITEM #2 - 6 DELIVERIES, HALF TO ARIZONA AND HALF TO NEW CUMBERLAND. ITEM #3 - WILL HAVE 12 DELIVERIES - half to New Cumberland and half to Arizona. Deliveries on on all 3 items will begin 150 days after award. This 100% Small Business Set Aside. TENTATIVE ISSUE DATE: 3-19-03 WITH A CLOSE DATE OF 4-23-03. FIRST ARTICLES WILL BE RERQUIRED. THIS AMENDMENT ADDS AN ADDITIONAL NSN TO THE SOLICITATION. ITEM #4 - INSIGNIA, GRADE, E.P. PRIVATE FIRST CLASS (E-3) BRIGHT, ARMY/8455-00-591-1484 FOR A QUANTITY OF 105,000 BASIC AND (1)100% QUANTITY OPTION INCLUDED IN THE SOLICITATION. 6 DELIVERIES WILL BE REQUIRED BEGINNING 150 DAYS AFTER AWARD TO BOTH NEW CUMBERLAND AND ARIZONA.
