Description
NA The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District is performing a Sources Sought for SBA certified 8(a) Firms serviced by the New Jersey District Office, Buffalo, Syracuse, and New York District Offices, and Philadelphia District Office for the followin g effort at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey: The design/build requirement to rep lace and renovate buildings in the 1300 and 1400 areas with support facilities and site improvements, including utilities; demolition of 31 buildings outside of these two areas with site restoration. Removal and disposal of lead paint, asbestos containing materials and contaminated soil resulting from demolition are required. Many of the buildings in this project are located within designated sites covered by The Comprehensive En vironmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). These sites are known to have soil and groundwater contamination. The Contractor shall be fully aware of the need to develop and provide a comprehensive site and project specific Site Safety a nd Health Plan (SSHP) that addresses all issues related to workers, safeties, h ealth, and the environment. The estimated Construction Cost Range of this project is between $10,000,000 and $17,000,000. All interested 8(a) firms MUST provide evidence of ava ilable bonding capacity. The deadline to respond to this notice is 13 Mar 2003, close of business. In the event adequate competition in the 8(a) community is not available, the Government reserves the right to solicit this effort, if required, as an UNREST RICTED requirement. Interested firms are instructed to respond to Mrs. K Hirsch y, 26 Federal Plaza, CENAN-EX, Room 21-130, New York, NY 10278-0090 provide documentation that illustrates the firms capabilities and prior efforts that are similar to the subj ect construction effort including evidence of bonding capacity. Contract Special ist for this actions is Mr. Ed Lew. This announcement does not imply that the Government is obligated to award this effort in the future.
