Description
The Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, INL-RM-MS, requests information regarding commercial satellite aircraft tracking systems for the following types of requirements: Install a beacon type tracking system in 80 aircraft for the Columbia National Police (CNP) aircraft fleet that transmits aircraft position to a ground station over satellite. The system must have a panic alert button and be tamper resistant or have some type of tamper proof alarm. One type of acceptable system would be to install a satellite transmitter in 80 fixed wing aircraft. This transmitter sends GPS data via satellite to a service provider who portrays the aircraft on a Colombian digital map via the Internet. In this example, CNP can monitor aircraft positions as it flies throughout the country. ROM price shall include installation and one year of service. Operation is for long durations in high vibration, temperature, and high humidity environments in South America. Request companies capable of satisfying these requirements reply directly to SotoJB@state.gov (Juan Soto). Responses are to include company names, phone numbers, capabilities, previous similar projects with customer points of contacts, and status of your business (i.e. large, small, disadvantaged etc). Also identify any limitations within any of the above types of requirements. Replies stating only that a company can satisfy these requirements will be disregarded. This is an attempt to obtain valuable information in regards to commercial capabilities in the above mentioned areas for possible future acquisition. This is for information only.
