Approximate dimensions are as follows: 3.125 inches long by 0.4375 inches in diameter. The predominant material consists of silver plated nickel alloy. Applicable to: F100-PW-100/200 Engines Destination: Tinker AFB, OK Delivery: 180 Days After Receipt of Order Qty: The Government is contemplating an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with a duration of 5 years (3-year basic with 2 one-year options). The Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) for the basic period (years 1 -3) is 9,799 each. The BEQ for Option period 1 (year 4) is 3,232 each. The BEQ for Option period 2 (year 5) is 3,232 each. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. Qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 31 Mar 2003. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 30 Apr 2003. The anticipated award date will be 31 May 2003. First Article Test Required. No telephone requests. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be sent from this office. The solicitation will be available by the release date for download only at www.fedbizops.com. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
