Description: The USDA Agriculture Research Service (ARS) intends to negotiate solely with Applied Biosystems, Foster City, CA for a service maintenance contract for both routine and emergency repairs for the ABI 4700 TOF/TOF mass spectrometer. This instrumentation is mission critical in protein expression profiling studies performed by the USDA and cannot experience downtime disruptive to research. Companies with demonstrated capability and financial capacity to provide such service must submit a written substantive statement outlining the company's capabilities to the Contracting Officer within 5 days of publication of this notice. This is not a request for proposal nor is a solicitation available.
