- Solicitation No. S-LMAQM-03-R-0032 is being extended to March 21, 2003 at 1:00pm. Additional Specifications are provided for the areas to be covered for the International Chancery Center. LOCATION: International Chancery Center (ICC) that includes International Court NW, International Drive NW, and International Place NW, Washington DC. A. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary to remove snow from approximately 17,587 SY of street surface and approximately 7,499 SY of sidewalk surfaces at the ICC. B. Snow removal shall occur whenever it snows, after hours, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. Contractor Furnished Materials: The contractor shall supply all materials, such as construction grade sand and an environmentally safe snowmelt. Snow Removal Standards: The Contractor shall furnish the COR with a detailed snow removal plan which shall include a list of telephone numbers that will allow the COR to reach the Contractor twenty four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days a week for emergency ice/snow conditions. Plan shall include: A. Removal of ice and snow from sidewalks and driveway aprons in front of all embassies and roadways at ICC, prior to 7:30 A.M. and as needed throughout the day. Eliminate all hazardous conditions on the hill areas of the sidewalks and roadways. The snow shall be removed completely from all roads and sidewalks, to an area away from the ICC. B. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary tools, supplies and equipment, including heavy equipment, snow shovels, and other items determined to be needed for the snow removal. C. Chemicals and/or sand shall be used to reduce safety hazards due to ice and/or snow. All chemicals used shall be in accordance with Federal specifications and shall be listed on material safety data sheets to be submitted to the COR. Chemicals and/or sand used shall not injure, damage, or destroy Government property. All listed areas shall be maintained free of snow and/or ice accumulations and all hazardous conditions due to the weather shall be eliminated. Snow and Ice Conditions on Streets: A. Plow International Court NW, the cul-de-sac from in front of the Austrian Embassy to the cul-de-sac at the opposite end of the road and to Van Ness Street, International Drive NW, (This road loops) and International Place NW, (This road loops) from curb to curb, including removal and disposal of all debris. B. Sand or salt hill areas when ice conditions prevail on International Court NW, International Drive NW, and International Place NW, Sidewalks and Driveway Aprons Covered under This Contract: A. International Court NW, the cul-de-sac from in front of the Austrian Embassy around to the Egyptian Embassy and on the same side of the road to Van Ness Street. Approximately 1067 SY. B. International Drive NW, the sidewalk from Van Ness Street to Van Ness Street on both sides of the road. (This road loops) This does not include the sidewalk adjacent to the Federal Building, which is covered in another contract. Approximately 2112 SY. C. International Drive NW, from Van Ness Street in front of the Israeli Embassy to the Federal Building, shall be passable at all times to include the apron to the Federal Building garage. D. International Place NW, the sidewalk from International Drive NW to International Drive NW on both sides of the road. Including the sidewalk adjacent to the Federal Building. Approximately 784 SY E. Van Ness Street NW, the sidewalk from Reno Road to the second entrance to International Drive on the South side. Approximately 921 SY. F. Van Ness Street NW, the sidewalk from Reno Road to International Court NW, on the North side. Approximately 364 SY. G. Tilden Street, the sidewalk from INTELSAT property lines West to Reno Road. Then North on Reno Road to Van Ness Street east side only. Approximately 970 SY. H. From Van Ness Street along Reno Road, north to 36th Street and to the property line by North Park, East Side only. Approximately 501 SY. I. Walkway from International Drive NW. Down the steps to Tillen Street. Approximately 393 SY. J. Walkway from 36th Street through North Park up the steps to International Court. Approximately 387 SY.
