Description
This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS). 311 HSW/YASK, Brooks City-Base is seeking HUBZone sources that manufacture can manufacture a Chemical-Biological Hood. NSN: 8475-01-339-9782MH, P/N: 243-10002-07-01 (Small), NSN: 8475-01-340-4779MH, P/N: 243-10002-07-02 (Medium), NSN: 8475-01-341-0124MH, P/N: 243-10002-07-03 (Large), NSN: 8475-01-341-1985MH, P/N: 243-10002-07-04 (X-Large). Predominate materials: Butyl Rubber, silicon rubber, plastic, steel and aluminum. The mask hood assembly consists of a neck-dam butyl rubber hood, a pressure demand oxygen mask, chemical resistant delivery hose, drinking facilities, communications connections, bayonet connector, chemical biological canister, in-line filter, emergency oxygen filter and a regulator manifold assembly. The item is designed to operate with the aircraft oxygen system and filtered ambient air. During oxygen use, the aircraft regulated gas is passed through the chemical biological canister for breathing while filtered ambient air from the blower (not part of the mask hood assembly) is directed to the hood for ventilation and de-mist. This requirement will be for a Requirements contract with one basic year and two option years. BEQs are as follows: Basic yr: 2800 ea, 1st option yr: 2000 ea, and 2nd option yr: 1634. Government provided drawings are available. Known HUBZone Approved Source: Allied Materials and Equipment Co. Inc. (CAGE Code 34500). Sources must qualify in accordance with the design control activitity?s procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity (311 HSW/YAPSS), 7980 Lindbergh Landing, Brooks City-Base TX 78235-5119. Firms possessing the capabilities to accomplish this requirement are invited to submit a statement of qualification, enclose product information/catalogues, current GSA or other schedule information (if applicable) and price list/schedules. This notice will stay open until 27 Mar 2003. Any responses received after this date may or may not be utilized to determine industry capability for this effort but will not in and of itself preclude participation, when and if an RFP is issued. BE ADVISED THAT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR (RFP) AND SUBMISSION OF THIS INFORMATION IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR ANY ITEM/SERVICES, OR FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR THE INFORMATION RECEIVED.
