Description

The Patuxent River Naval Air Station Fire Department (NASFD) has a requirement for a Bullard T3 Thermal Imager. This Imager shall assist firefighters and rescue personnel in locating victims quickly and easily in emergency situations, without causing injury to themselves or others. These Imagers shall be lightweight (2.7lbs with battery), compact (5?h x 4?w x 7?l), contain a 3? backlit LCD display viewable through thick smoke, and allow firefighters or rescue personnel to carry these Imagers while performing other rescue work or while carrying other tools. The items being procured are Bullard T3 Thermal Imagers, 3 each; Bullard T3 4-channel Transmitter with Receiver, 3 each; Bullard T3 Powerhouse Truck mount charger, 3 each. The Government contemplates a Firm Fixed Price contract. The Government intends to negotiate on a Sole Source basis with E.D. Bullard Company, 1989 Safety Way, Cynthiana, KY 41031-9303 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. E.D. Bullard Company is the only manufacturer that satisfies the minimum Government requirements. Therefore, this notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement. All capability statements received in response to this notice will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. The Government reserves the right to process this procurement as a Sole Source based on the responses received. NOTE: DFARS 252.204-7004 ?Required Central Contractor Registration? applies to all solicitations issued on/after 6/1/98.
