- Description
- 17. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to issue a solicitation for the removal and disposal of industrial hazardous and non-hazardous waste products; equipment and materials from the BEP facilities in Washington, DC/ Landover, Maryland and Fort Worth, Texas. The tasks will consist of, but not limited to sampling and analyzing, packaging, labeling, manifesting, transporting, and disposal. Detailed requirements are covered under a performance work statement (PWS) released in DRAFT form as an MS Word document which may be found at the FedBizOpps website at www.fedbizopps.gov. A request for proposals is anticipated to be issued on or about April 07, 2003 for a Firm Fixed-Priced, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract with a base year and four option years. The BEP reserves the right to make two (2) separate awards if it is determined to be in the best interest of the Government. Disposal shall be in accordance with the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). Interested parties must have a licensed distribution facility, and due to space constraints must utilize a single truck to transport the majority of the waste from the BEP within 24 hours of notification. The successfully offeror shall be required to prepare a written indemnification to the BEP for any and all liabilities that may arise during transportation, treatment, storage, disposal or clean-up. The BEP will hold a pre-proposal/site visit for the Fort Worth, TX facility on March 21, 2003 @ 12:30pm (local time). Anyone wishing to attend the pre-proposal/site visit must submit the following information 72 hours before the site visit to jill.kline@bep.treas.gov or via fax-attn: Jill Kline (202) 874-2200: Name of company, name of attendees (limited to 3 personnel maximum from each company), date of birth, and social security number. Information provided is protected under the privacy act. The BEP will hold a pre-proposal/site visit for the Washington, DC facility on April 9, 2003 @ 10:00am (local time). Anyone wishing to attend the pre-proposal/site visit must submit the following information 72 hours before the site visit to jill.kline@bep.treas.gov or via fax-attn: Jill Kline (202) 874-2200: name of company, name of attendees (limited to 3 personnel maximum from each company), date of birth, and social security number. Information provided is protected under the privacy act. The NAICS code for this procurement is 56221, and the small business size standard $10.5 million. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities Website at www.eps.gov.
