- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture, Office of Procurement and Property Management, Procurement Operations Division is seeking comments on a Draft Performance Work Statement to replace the current Financial Data Warehouse (FDW) environment with an infrastructure solution that includes, but is not limited to, hardware, software, recovery capabilities, and database design. Efforts under this contract are expected to include a successful solution that achieves significant (orders of magnitude) improvement in query throughput, parallelism, response time, future scalability, and price performance. The new platform must provide future flexibility for USDA to deliver a coordinated data warehouse/data mart environment. The contractor shall deliver, install, maintain, and support the solution. Maintenance and technical support are required to assist in the planning, installation, and training of the solution. The contractor shall provide preventive and remedial maintenance of the complete solution after completion of the installation. All interested parties must submit their comments on the PWS no later than Thursday, March 27, 2003, 12:00 noon EST. Comments should be submitted via email to sally.soule@nitckc.usda.gov or sharon.boykin@USDA.Gov. This information is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for proposal. If the Government does solicit proposals, it is anticipated that this will be a competitive GSA schedule procurement. Please submit your comments on the PWS along with your GSA Schedule information and a capability statement in MS Word. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided in response to this notice. No telephone calls will be accepted. The PWS will appear under RFC-OPPM-03-1010 under document name Replace Financial Data Warehouse.
