Description

Request for Proposal number 1-JC- 03-01 for continued operation of the Connecticut Job Corps Center located at 455 Wintergreen Ave, New Haven, CT 06515 will be made available on March 28, 2003 by written request to the Agency or on the acquisition home page: http://www.wdsc.org/jobcorps. Job Corps is a residential training program for economically disadvantaged, youth between the ages of 16 and 24. The successful offeror will manage and operate a government owned facility and hire staff for residential living, basic education, vocational training, career development and career transition services, and health care services in accordance with the applicable DOL/Job Corps regulation. Copies of DOL/Job Corps regulations are available at the above-mentioned web site. The contract capacity is for 86 residential males, 64 residential females, 14 non-residential males and 36 non-residential females, for a total capacity of 200 trainee participants. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a Performance Based Service Contract for a two base year period of December 1, 2003 to November 30, 2005 plus three performance based options of one year each. A Pre-Proposal conference will convene at the Center on April 3, 2003 at 10:00am local time, Center walk through will be held at 1:00 on the same day. The closing date for written Business Management Plans, Subcontracting Plans, and staff Qualifications and Schedules will be o/a May 27, 2003.
