Description
NA The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center intends to award a single firm-fixed price purchase order to Market Forge Industries, Everett, MA, to purchase three (3) Stainless steel hatchable ovens built with a modular construction. The ovens are being procured for testing aboard Navy ships and are unique in the fact that it is a modular constructed oven and can be washed with water with no electrical shock hazards, warping or damage occurring to the cavity, fan, heating elements, etc. and can meet the following requirements: The oven must conform to MIL-O-43633D and be similar to NSN 7310-01-1812 but with a single cavity and legs. This oven will be designed for 440 volt, 3-phase electric service. When disassembled into sections it will fit through a 26 inch x 66 inch hatch opening. Interior and exterior is stainless steel and fan motor is hermetically sealed, and the blower wheel is stainless steel. Will have split doors without windows, and have secondary mechanical latches to hold each door open. The interior of the oven cavity will be constructed of a one-piece seamless stainless steel liner, watertight and vapor tight to prevent degradation of mechanical or electrical components from moisture, heating element will be non-corrosive and able to h andle thermal shock if sprayed directly with water. There will be a drain in the oven cavity with sloping contours to direct water to the drain. There will be a raised lip on the front of the oven under the doors to prevent water from dripping onto the f loor. Inside of the cavity there will be 5 stainless steel racks with 11 rack positions. The motor will have a stainless steel fan, and the motor itself will be sealed from being exposed with water. The ovens will be serviceable from the front. The con trols will be analog and made of solid state with separate dials to control the timer and thermostat. All ventilation will be in the front, side or back, not on top. The electric heating elements are made of a material that is not susceptible to thermal shock. There are no other known companies that can provide agency requirements.
