Description

NOTE: ONLY WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE HONORED. See instructions at end of description of work. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to perform operations necessary to convert a duplex containing two each 2 bedroom units to one four bedroom unit. Unit is located at family housing, USCG, ISC Kodiak, ALASKA. Work will be performed as described in the specifications for the project, and as shown on Coast Guard drawings. Scope of the project includes new walls, doors, plumbing, painting, and electrical work. Work must take place BEFORE May 16, 2003. Materials, workmanship, and installation shall comply with the latest edition of all applicable codes and industry standards and these specifications. Contractor is responsible for field verification of all material sizes and quantities necessary for the complete installation of this project before quoting. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: None, except as noted in Statement of Work. Performance Period is 30 days after award. Work MUST be COMPLETE NLT May 16, 2003. SUBMITTALS DUE UPON AWARD may include but are not limited to: manufacturer?s catalogs, standard schedules, performance charts, instructions, brochures, diagrams, etc., in addition MSDS?s, references / qualifications. Lack of adequacy of references shall be at the sole discretion of the government and may constitute grounds for disqualification. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: Underwriter?s Laboratories (UL), State of Alaska Administrative Codes, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards; Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), ANSI Standards, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), MIL SPEC, FED STD, and applicable Coast Guard Safety Regulations. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE ISSUED ON APPROXIMATELY March 24, 2003. A SITE VISIT will be held approximately two weeks before quote is due. Location: U.S. Coast Guard, Integrated Support Command, Kodiak, Alaska. (Site visits are not mandatory, but are suggested.) . NOTE: Proposed contract is for one duplex conversion with an OPTION for one more without further competition. Second unit is NOT guaranteed and may be planned for later in the year. Second unit will not need to meet the May 16 due date. Estimated price is between $25,000 and $100,000 (to include option 1). This is a Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a written quotation, which shall be considered. Solicitation package issue date is approximately March 21, 2003. Written quotes will be due on / about April 10, 2003. Work on Base Quotation portion of solicitation will start on / about May 1, 2003 and MUST be completed no later than May 16, 2003.
