Description
The U. S. Department of Commerce, National Ocean Service, Hollings Marine Laboratory, plans to procure ten (10) each of a Protein Fractionator and Fluidized Sand Filter Bed System. This equipment is intended for use at the NOAA Hollings Marine Laboratory, Charleston, South Carolina as part of a larger seawater system. The system must have the following specifications: The system should be a protein fractionator and fluidized sand filter bed system sized for 100 gallon per minute (gpm). The system should have dual wash down system. The system should be constructed of corrosion, ultra-violet, and ozone resistant materials exposed to the marine environment. The system should contain interval cleaning timers to schedule routine removal of proteinaceous scum from the system. The system must contain two (2) dedicated ? hp pumps, 60Hz, 115/230 volt, per system. The system must include and should be designed to accommodate a 2,500 mg ozone generator with controls and oxidation/reduction potential (ORP), pH and temperature probes. The ozone generator should be connected to a regenerative aid dryer connected to the ozone generator to maximize ozone production. The system must be a free standing unit that is easy to assemble and supplied with complete instructions and operation manual. The system must fit in a 4 x 4 ft. footprint. The quote should include freight charges. These items will be acquired through FAR Simplified Acquisitions Regulations under Request for Quotation Number WC1330-03-RQ-0117MLW. NAICS code 221310 applies. All responsible sources may submit information about their products and capability to provide this system. The quote and capabilities statement will be considered by the agency. Firms interested in receiving a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) shall submit a request in writing at the address listed above within fifteen days of the date of this notice. RFQ will be issued on or about March 31, 2003. Facsimile requests will be accepted at (816) 426-7530.
