- The VA National Acquisition Center will issue Solicitation RFP-797-NC-03-0017, for the Dept. of Veterans Affairs and the Dept. of Defense's requirements of the following items: PAMIDRONATE DISODIUM 30 mg/VI Inj. - Est. Annual Usage: 15,327 VI -- PAMIDRONATE DISODIUM 90 mg/VI Inj. - Est. Annual Usage: 12,231 VI -- =20 MIDAZOLAM HCL 1 mg/ml, 2 ml Inj. =96 Est Annual Usage: 440,273 VI. -- MIDAZOLAM HCL 1 mg/ml, 5 ml Inj. =96 Est Annual Usage: 82,361 VI. -- MIDAZOLAM HCL 1 mg/ml, 10 ml Inj. =96 Est Annual Usage: 17,934 VI. -- MIDAZOLAM HCL 5 mg/ml, 1 ml Inj. =96 Est Annual Usage: 30,929 VI. -- MIDAZOLAM HCL 5 mg/ml, 2 ml Inj. =96 Est Annual Usage: 26,231 VI. -- MIDAZOLAM HCL 5 mg/ml, 5 ml Inj. =96 Est Annual Usage: 3,146 VI. -- MIDAZOLAM HCL 5 mg/ml, 10 ml Inj. =96 Est Annual Usage: 37,043 VI. -- For both of these items, the outer-pack must contain no more than 25 vials (i.e. the package shipped to the pharmacy). =20 The VA intends to award only one (1) contract for the Pamidronate Disodium Inj. Group, and only one (1) contract for Midazolam Hcl Inj.Group, so there may be two awards resulting from this Solicitation. Contractors are not required to offer prices for both Groups, however, the contractor must propose a price for all sizes in each Group, in order to be consider for an award. =20 If the offorer is not the manufacturer, a copy of the signed agreement between the vendor and the manufacturer must be submitted with the proposals. The agreement must be for the maximum term of the contract. =20 Indian Health Service and Bureau of Prisons may submit additional requirements, but the Solicitation will clearly state whether these two agencies are included, and if so, what their additional annual usage is expected to be. The contract period will be for a period of one year, plus four one-year options. Distribution will be through the VA Prime Vendor and DoD's Prime Vendors. The Solicitation will be available for downloading on or about 4/14/03, at the VA Office of Acquisition and Materiel Management's internet webb site at http://www.va.gov/oa&mm/busopp/sols.htm.
