Description

This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition. The required service is to provide the maintenance of forward looking infra-red systems (FLIR) Q-22 Safire systems. This service will be conducted at Patrick AFB, FL. Period of performance is 15 April ? 30 Sep 2003. Four one-year options may be awarded. The Government intends to award on a sole source basis to FLIR Systems, Inc.and FLIR Systems, Inc is the only source capable of fulfilling the government?s requirement since they are the Original Equipment Manufacturer and must perform all maintenance on their equipment to maintain warranty integrity. This proposed procurement is an unrestricted acquisition. Solicitation No. F08650-03-R-0024 is issued as a Request for Proposal. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 3812, and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 334511. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be issued on or about 24 Mar 03. The solicitation will not be posted electronically, but this office will provide a copy to any firm requesting one. Anticipated award date will be on or around 15 Apr 03.
