Description
NA This is an amendment to the original sources sought that was issued on March 6, 2003, for solicitation DAAE20-03-R-0110. Sources are sought for producers of Recirculation Filters, NSN: 4240-01-348-5257, Part Number: 5-19-10878, and Recirculation Filter El ements, NSN: 4240-01-332-2068, Part Number: 5-19-11232. Please provide your company size and small business status, when responding to this announcement. The Government is only seeking the name and size status of interested sources. At this time, there is no solicitation or drawing to be obtained. E-mail responses to, parkers@ria.army.mil, by 3/21/03. The Recirculation Filter is a portable, self-contained unit used to filter any residual nuclear, biological and chemical, NBC contaminants inside a deplo yed Collective Protective system. The unit contains the blower and the replaceable gas filter element. Filtered air exits through the air outlets. The general construction is an aluminum housing with a fan connected to an electric motor. General electr ical wiring construction is used. The Filter shall also have the following characteristics: (1) Capable of filtering 700 (CFM) +/- 5% at 29.9 inches of mercury, barometric pressure and 70 degrees Fahrenheit. (2) Weight not to exceed 50 lbs. (3) Operate wi th 115+/- 10% (VAC), 60 Hz and single phase. (4) Current draw not to exceed 2.0 +/- 10% Amps. (5) Insulation shall be capable of withstanding 130 degrees Celsius without deteriorating, i.e. cracking, splitting, discoloring, shrinking or flowing. (6) Chem ical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC) shall be the protective finish. The unit also has a filter element that is used inside the Recirculation Filter. The Filter Element is made with the use of a charcoal non-woven filter material that is supplied on a vend or item drawing wrapped around a perforated aluminum cylinder. The Filter Element removes and residual nuclear, biological and chemical, NBC contaminants.
