Description

NA Under DBFM BAA DAAB07-02-R-P041, dated 14 Aug 02, the U.S. Army CECOM Night Vision Electronic Sensors Directorate is soliciting innovative proposals for the specific subtopic of CdZnTe Substrates (Subtopic No. 1). The subtopic initiatives include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following; increased substrate size to 50 cm2 or greater, improved polishing, reduced defects, increased uniformity, and reduced contaminants. The CdZnTe wafers produced under this effort must be suitable for use as substr ates for MBE growth of large area HgCdTe epilayers. Applicable CdZnTe substrate specifications for this effort will provided in table format in the amended BAA. In order to be considered for any potential award, offerors must commit to become a merchant supplier for these substrates. Maximum funding identified that will be available for potential award is $2M (FY03-FY05). Multiple awards are possible. Interested Offerors must submit proposals no later than 4:00 PM (1600) EST on 11 Apr 03 to be considered for award in fiscal year 2003. Proposals shall be submitted in accordance with the existing BAA. In addition, proposals will be evaluated in accordanc e with the existing BAA. Technical point of contact is James C.
