NA This FedBizOps announcement is notice that TRICARE Region 6, 7, & 8 which includes all 46 Military Medical Treatment Facilities (MTF's) in the states of Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Colorado, Arizona, Kansas, Missouri, Idaho, Oklahoma, New Mexico, North Dak ota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming are in the standardization process for the product line of Point-of-Care Testing analyzers. These automated blood analyzers will provide health care professionals diagnostic information immed iately at the point of patient care or wherever that medical care is needed. The intent of this standardization program is to establish regionally preferred sources for hospital supply items to standardize purchasing of products for these MTFs. Additiona l TRICARE Regions or other governmental activities may elect to join after award. Additional price consideration will be requested at that time. Clinical Product Teams (CPTs) will evaluate this product line. CPTs are composed of healthcare providers who have expertise and knowledge of the products. They will review and technically evaluate the products submitted. TRICARE Region 6, 7, 8 deems the CPT members to be medical experts. Therefore, they are qualified to determine which products are acceptable . Their recommendation can be accomplished by literature review, presentation, demonstration or clinical evaluation. Companies interested in having their items evaluated for possible inclusion in the standardization process should carefully review the st ated item requirements. General requirements are as follows: 1) A full product line must be available to the end users that provide a variety of tests. 2) Tests performed should include but are not limited to ABG's, electrolytes, H&H, chloride, base excess and ionized calcium. 3) Must interface with CHCS. 4) Must be mobile, lightweight and portable. 5) Display must be easily visible/readable. 6) Must have extended battery life. 7) Vendor must have ability to service all MTFs in the regions identified above with clinical support, education programs, and utilizat ion reports. 8) Vendor must provide volume discounts and support a return goods policy. 9) Vendor must also provide and assist in a plan of implementation, including a conversion chart to show competitor like items. Distribution of these products for the MTFs may be accomplished either through direct orders or through the DSCP ECAT program. The purpose of this notice is to seek commercial sources that will meet the U.S. Government requirements. Suppliers may be required to conduct clinical trials and provide clinical samples at no c ost to the government. After you have notified the Tri-Service Regional Business Office (TRBO) that your company wishes to participate, your company will be notified before the start of the standardization process for samples of this Product Line. If you r company can provide any of these items, please forward literature of all items available from your company that meet the product descriptions above and any corresponding product literature to: Kevin W. Those companies that do not reply by the above response date may be eliminated from consideration.
