- This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation, RFQ 618-79-03= .=20 Under authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), the Government anticipates entering into sole source negotiations with Dictaphone Corporation, 3984 Pepsicola Drive, Melbourne, FL 32934. NAICS codes 541519 and 421990 apply to this procurement. The government has identified a need for: 20 ea. Boomerang Transcribe w/Trans/Net, Sound card and installation, 8 ea. Trans/Net Client Access Licenses, 4 ea. Telephones w/ Power Supply, ATS Training, 1 year Assured Protection Plan, 1 year Software Maintenance Agreement, Project Management and installation to be used in conjunction with existing Dictaphone equipment. The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government=92s minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from one source. This contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302 and under Commercial Item Acquisition, FAR Part 12. Interested persons may identify their capability to respond to this requirement or to submit proposals by March 21, 2003. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received on or before March 21, 2003 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
