- Description
- Eglin AFB FL has a requirement for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Repair and Replace Roofs, Miscellaneous Base Buildings. THIS IS A ?TRADE-OFF? (PERFORMANCE PRICE TRADE-OFF) ACQUISITION. Award will be made based upon the ?Best Value? to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. This project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials and performing all operations in connection with Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm Fixed Price Repair and Replace Roofs, Miscellaneous Base Buildings, Eglin AFB FL. In general, the work will consist of removal and disposition of existing roofing (and related deteriorated sheet metalwork and carpentry items) including mineral surface selvage edge roll, roofing, mineral surface asphalt strip shingle roofing, built-up roofing, standing seam metal roofing, and sheet metal roofing, replacement of these type of roofing with the same types of roofing as applicable or with fiberglass strip-shingles and rolled roofing where designated. Repair and/or replacement of existing deteriorated wood fascia, roof framing, roof sheathing and decking, steel roof deck, and other items of carpentry work used in conjunction with roofing and all work incidental thereto; all in accordance with the specification. The work is located at Eglin AFB FL. Proposal due date of 14 MAY 2003 IS ONLY AN ESTIMATED DATE. Estimated dollar range is between $1,000,000 and $500,000,000. Performance period will be a One Year Basic plus Four-One-Year Options. The NAICS code is 238160 with a size standard of $12M. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued but the Request for Proposal will be available on the Federal Government?s Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov). No response to this notice is necessary, and no Source List will be maintained. See Note 26.
