Description

NA The CECOM Acquisition Center contemplates award of a contract on a sole source basis to the Poly Scientific Division of Litton Systems, Inc., 750 West Sproul Road, Springfield, PA 19064-4084, for fifty Fiber Optic Modems MD-1272, NSN 5895-01-186-3665, with an option for up to fifty additional units. Delivery of the basic quantity is to be within 180 days after the date of award of the contract, to New Cumberland, PA. Non-competitive procurement is based on the authority of 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1), as implemen ted by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source. The Government does not possess a technical data package which is suitable for competitive procurement of this item. Under the contemplated contract, the contractor is to update drawings and prepare a perf ormance specification, for use by the Government for competitive procurement of the item in the future. See numbered note 22.
